Academics units
The Academic Vice President has leadership responsibilities for planning, implementing, and coordinating the educational programs of the College. In assuming these responsibilities, the Vice President works closely with Academic Deans, Directors, and other Administrators, and members of the College. The Academic Vice President is accountable to the President and supervises different Colleges/Institute and Academic Directorates.
The academic units under Academic Vice Presidents are:
9. ICT Directorat
The Bezmary College Quality Assurance and Audit unit. The Education Quality Assurance and Audit Directorate is established in the year 2003/2004 after the establishment of the Higher Education Relevance and Quality Agency (HERQA) in 2003.
1. Facilitates and monitors the conduct of regular internal quality assessments in line with established institutional guideline and the procedures and standards set by the accrediting body;
2. Develops and monitors quality assurance procedures and processes to promote performance improvements across the College programs and constituencies;
3. In consultation with President, sets quality assurance compliance strategies, guidelines, goals and objectives and ensures that targets are achieved;
4. Ensures that appropriate quality information is maintained for all College programs and courses, including those offered in the Distance Education Division and at all campus locations;
5. Takes responsibility for the preparation of Self-Assessment reports required for accreditation applications;
6. Studies the accreditation requirements by relevant regulating agencies and recommends to the College Senate ways and means of meeting the requirements;
7. Studies and recommends to the College Senate ways and means of enhancing the quality of academic programs on offer and related activities on continuous basis;
8. In consultation with the College President , follows up the accreditation and re-accreditation processes for different academic programs of the College; and
9. Performs other duties consistent with his or responsibilities and as deemed necessary.
Director, Research and Community Services Directorate
Responsibility of the Directorate
· Plans, coordinates, and follow-ups overall research activities
· Provides community services on various areas based on the need of the community
· Generate technologies based up on the research output and disseminate the technologies
· Creates linkage between the College and industries on mutual benefit bases
· Enriches academic programs by exposing students and academic staff on research tasks
· Monitors and evaluates research activities in coordinated and organized manner
· Formulates and prepares programs for executing the research undertakings
· Facilitates students’ practices at industries
· Disseminates the research outputs through publication (journals, proceedings, webpage, etc.)
· Owns the overall research and technology exchange /extension process in the College
· Makes available research facilities and materials for researchers (Eg. Laboratories)
· Identifies thematic areas based on problems that demand research solutions
· Calls for proposals and makes the proposal reviewed at Department level.

The Office of the Registrar is a unit of the College responsible for all operational matters pertaining to student admissions, registration, scheduling of classes and examinations, safe keeping of student academic records and graduation of students. The Office carries out these duties and responsibilities in close collaboration with other relevant units of the College.
· Prepare the academic calendar of the College each year in consultation with the College President and submit the same to the Senate for approval;
· Make sure that the BezmaryCollege Senate directives and guidelines on students (admissions, registration, graduation etc) and curricula (courses, credit requirements etc) are uniformly and correctly interpreted and implemented;
· Maintain up-to-date records and documents on all academic matters pertaining to student and programs of study of the College;
· Create and maintain permanent academic records of all students, including drop-outs, dismissals, withdrawals and alumni up to date, confidential, safe and in a systematic and organized manner;
· Create and maintain up-to-date and accurate information on student admissions, placement, registration, academic performance, attrition and graduation by department, level of instruction and mode of delivery (regular, extension, summer in-service, extension, distance, etc) and of classroom utilization;
· Make sure that each student has paid his/her training fees before registering for courses;
· Ensure that optimum use is made of classrooms, lecture halls and laboratories;
· Prepare and issue the academic calendar, course catalogues, and student handbook of the College on regular basis;
· Issue transcripts, degrees, diplomas and certificates with the approval of the authorized body;
· Be responsible for the custody of the Seal, of the Registrar’s Office;
· Perform such other tasks consistent with the mission of the Office as may be assigned to it by the College President.
